A very rare Top Quality Paraisurus compressusan extinct Mackerel shark, tooth from Tarrant Co., Texas. An excellent example of this Lower Cretaceous Paw Paw Fm. tooth. These teeth have a unique design with a a very compressed tooth, very high root face, no cusps, and long slender root lobes. One complete root lobe. Authenticity guaranteed. You do not see these teeth very often.

This catalog contains excellent teeth from an extinct Mackerel shark - Paraisurus compressus. These teeth were collected from the Paw Paw Formation, Tarrant Co. All teeth are complete and well preserved.

Paw Paw Formation is early Cretaceous calcareous marl that dates to the late Albian age  (105 MYA). This formation is found in northern central Texas.
