Carcharodon hastalis

This catalog contains excellent teeth from the extinct Big-tooth Mako shark, Carcharodon (Isurus) hastalis from So. Carolina. This shark was the precursor to the Great White shark and now shares the same genus name. These teeth are noted for their wide triangular crowns which are non-serrate and wide rectangular roots. There are Miocene, Hawthorne Formation in age from coastal South Carolina. Note - An exceptional group of colored teeth available.
