Otodus megalodon - South Carolina
This catalog contains top quality Megalodon teeth from the most highly sought fossil shark tooth - the Extinct Giant White shark, Otodus megalodon. These teeth are noted for their wide triangular crowns which are fully serrated. The largest examples of O. megalodon teeth exceed 7 inches in length and are extremely rare. Body lengths most likely exceeded 40 foot. The undisputed king of the Miocene - Pliocene seas (4-20 million years ago).
Please note that these C. megalodon teeth have been carefully selected and are of the highest quality. A Top Quality Megalodon tooth from Georgia. A MArch Fossil of the Month. The crown has excellent Blue color. The enamel is the Highest Quality with very small hydration cracks. An BLACK colored bourlette which is mostly complete. Razor sharp, extra large serrations including an excellent tip serration. The root is a charcoal color, nicely articulated, and complete. This tooth has extra large root end grooves and the base of the serrations has two unique pathologies (possible Chubutensis? (see close up photos) Traits of a Miocene age Megalodon tooth.
