Carcharhinus macloti (Hardnose shark)

The Carcharhinus macloti is the Hardnose shark and is found in the Indo-Pacific, from Kenya to southern China and northern Australia. It inhabits warm, shallow waters close to shore. This species can reach lengths of less than 4 feet. The Hardnose shark has a diet of fish, cephalopods, and crabs. They are harmless to humans.

This collection represents a rare and very unusual collection of Miocene fossil shark teeth from the island of Sumatra, Indonesia. Few collectors have these teeth and even fewer have had the opportunity to collect this site as I did!
