Carcharodon hastalis
This catalog contains very nice and extra large teeth from the Big-tooth "Mako" shark, Carcharodon haslalis, the ancestor of the Great White shark. Carcharodon haslalis teeth are noted for their extra wide triangular crowns and rectangular, heavy roots. These teeth exhibit tan, orange, pink, gray or blue colored crowns with tan to mahogany-red roots. They are very showy, making them an excellent addition to your Mako shark tooth collection. Note - these teeth have been cleaned of matrix (very difficult) and do not show any of the mineral discoloration common to many of the Chilean "Makos" on the market.
