A TOP QUALITY, LARGE Araucaria mirabilis pine cone limb section from Argentina. This limb section is nicely articulated and demonstrates the excellent preservation that is present with the cones. As shown, one end was cut and polished to show wood detail. I will not be getting any more as exports have stopped. A nice display piece to accompany your cones. Authenticity guaranteed.

Details

The Argentine pine cones are well know for their high quality and exceptional preservation. Araucaria cone size varies from small to extra large. Some cones ncludes a good stem - rare. These cones are cleaned to show the full detail of the pine cone exterior. Excellent detail has been preserved. Specimens typically exhibit round shape (inflated), but most are slightly compressed. They make incredible pine cone specimens!

Note - Please note that the limb section was cut in two and the cut ends of the specimen were polished to show its intricate internal structure.
