An exceptional Scaldicetus sp., a Sperm whale, tooth from Caldera area of Chile. An incredible late Miocene Sperm whale tooth from the Bahia Inglesa Fm. This tooth has exceptional preservation, fantastic brown color, and is exceptionally clean. Note - There is a small root pathology due to injury and this tooth has a natural wear facet from an opposing tooth. No repair or restoration. A TOP QUALITY, very rare Archaeocete whale, Zygorhiza kochii. A partial large molar or yoke tooth. An exceptional brown colored crown. Nicely articulated. Large root. This tooth has no repair. Note - enamel tip shows wear pattern on crown from grinding. Whales do not shed their teeth like the sharks so there teeth will wear with age. A large Archaeocete molar section from So. Carolina.  A very rare collector's tooth.
