A GEM Quality juvenile Miocene-Pliocene Mastodon molar from Georgia. A February Fossil of the Month. An extinct elephant ancestor that inhabited North America during the late Miocene to late Pliocene. This molar is a big with 3 cusp rows with essentially no cusp wear. This is a recently erupted tooth. Exceptional articulation. Solid black color. This is an exceptionally well fossilized Mastodon specimen. Note - Comes complete with peg stand as pictured. No damage. No restoration or repair. An exceptional, authentic juvenile Mastodon tooth. Authenticity guaranteed.
