A rare, Top Quality jaw from a long snouted needle-nose Dolphin found in the middle Miocene Sharktooth Hill area, near Bakersfield, California. A February Fossil of the Month. Excellent preservation. Excellent bone quality. Great color. No repair or restoration. An excellent collector's Dolphin jaw. Authenticity guaranteed. A very special display piece!

There are at least two species of Dolphins present in the middle Miocene Round Silt Fm. in the Sharktooth Hill area. Note - This dolphin would be in the Eurhinodelphids family and would be similar to the Atlantic ocean Xiphiacetus and could possibly be a Zarhinocetus. Dolphin remains include teeth, ear bones, and an occassional other skeleton item.
