An ultra rare group of two associated TOP QUALITY Araucaria mirabilis pine cones from Argentina. A May Fossil of the Month. These cones were found side by side and remain on their original natural matrix. The Jurassic pine cones are exquisite and known for their highy quality and extreme preservation. An ultra rare Top Quality Stegoceras validum dome (frontoparietal skull bone) from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. An April Fossil of the Month. Stegoceras is a smaller sized pachycephalosaurid dinosaur, and like Pachycephalosaurus, it is a dinosaur which is famous for its large domed head surrounded by spikes. This is excellent quality juvenile dome with good color / patina. No cracks or restoration. There is a small sheer on the left side that occured prior to fossilization since it has the natural patina. Otherwise a complete dome. An ultra rare Stegoceras dome!  Legally collected on private land in the Judith River Fm., Hill Co., Montana. An excellent collector's quality Stegoceras dome. Comes with a Riker display case. Pachychephalosaurus is the dinosaur which is famous for its large domed head surrounded by these spikes and nodes. These spikes and nodes were part of the skull. This is a node cluster with five nodes (three complete and two partial nodes). This node cluster has excellent color / patina with exceptional surface articulation. The blood grooves are still present in the bone. It is a complete specimen with no cracks or breaks. Note - the excellent articulated skull surface on the base of the node. A LARGE, Top Quality Chubutensis tooth - an upper jaw tooth from So. Carolina. Otodus chubutensis or Chubutensis is the extinct ancestor of the Megalodon shark. An excellent Charcoal Gray colored crown. High quality enamel. The black bourlette is complete. Sharp serrations are sharp with a slightly worn tip serration. The root is black colored and complete. Note the small cusp-like bumps at the base of the cutting edge and the grooves on the sides of the root ends - both are Chubutensis characteristics. No repair or restoration. A rare Top Quality, BLUE Megalodon tooth - an upper jaw tooth from the Beaufort Co. land site,  So. Carolina. An incredible BLUE with a tan band at the base colored crown. Highest quality enamel. The bourlette is a gorgeous black color and 95% complete with very small serration bumps at the base - a near Chubutensis - an early Miocene Meg tooth The serrations are large and sharp. A RARE, Pectinodon bakkeri tooth from the Hell Creek Fm. of western North America. An anterior tooth. Pectinodon is a small Troodontid and has teeth similar to Troodon.  Pectinodon are known for their very unique shaped teeth with unusually large distal serrations. The enamel is excellent with a great brown color.  Excellent large posterior and no anterior serrations. No repair or restoration.
