A LARGE Top Quality, rare Pinus sp. pine cone specimen from Germany. An October Fossil of the Month. This pine cone is fully inflated. Excellent preservation and color. The original matrix is a very hard and heavy sandstone nodule. Note – nodule matrix size is 4-3/4”  x  2-3/4. Authenticity guaranteed. Note - This pine weights approximately 2 pounds. A GEM, EXTRA LARGE, rare Pinus sp. pine cone specimen from Germany.  This pine cone is fully inflated. Fantastic preservation. One of the finest specimens that I have seen from the German site. An excellent, rare unidentified Dicotaledon fruit / seed pod specimen from Morocco. The Moroccan "pine cone". Found in the late Eocene sediments in Western Sahara, Morocco. Excellent detail preserved. Note that the interior of the cone is replaced by agate.
