An EXTRA LARGE, very rare, Top Quality Parotodus benedeni  tooth with a massive root from the Summerville, So. Carolina. A Miocene-Pliocene age tooth from the Hawthorne Fm. Nice tan color. Lateral tooth. Good quality enamel . Root is complete, thick (3/4"), nicely articulated, and a typical hydration crack. No repair or restoration. Authenticity guaranteed. An ultra rare, Top Quality Parotodus benedeni tooth from the Ica region of Peru. A July Fossil of the Month. Highest quality enamel. An excellent tan colored crown with clean edges. Excellent color. This is a late Miocene age tooth (6-8 MYA). Please note that there is an ~1/4" wedge restored on inside of the left root end. A desert shark from the deserts of Peru! Excellent blue color with a gray root and bourlette. The root is ~1/4" thick and shows no hydration cracks. This Parotodus tooth was found in the Pungo River Formation (Miocene age).
