This is large size, premium specimen with the calcite crystals fully exposed and completely filling the shell. Exceptional quality. A Pleistocene age shell from the Nahua Fm.  (1.2 mya). An EXTRA LARGE Muricanthus hertweckorum fossil from the Caloosa Quarry, Ruskin, Florida. A complete shell. This is the most ornate, large shell from the Ruskin shell pits. The Bordeaux site produced many commercial specimens, but this display is quite nice with 2 Turritella and 2 other gastropod shells. One of the BEST Bordeaux gastropod displays. Excellent detail.
