A COLORFUL, Top Quality Miocene-Pliocene juvenile Mastodon molar from northern Florida. This is an extinct elephant ancestor that inhabited North America during the late Miocene to late Pliocene. This molar is a big tooth with 3 cusp rows with typical cusp wear. Exceptional articulation. Excellent red & golden tan colors! This is an exceptionally well fossilized Mastodon specimen. Note - Tooth comes complete with custom base plate as pictured. Note - Small repairs to the root end only. No restoration. An exceptional, authentic Mastodon tooth.
