Camptosaurus sp. - Jurassic
A LARGE, very rare Top Quality, Camptosaurus toe claw (pes claw). A March Fossil of the Month. Camtposaurus is a Jurassic ornithischian dinosaur related to the "duck bill" dinosaurs. It grew about 16 feet in length, and its name means "flexible lazard". It was a long-legged, bidel herbivore that relied on speed and agility to avoid predators. This Camptosaurus toe claw measures 3-5/8". These claws resemble carnivore claws. Highest quality bone. Great rich dark brown color. Excellent overall condition. No repair or restoration with minor crack fill. Legally collected on private land in the Morrison Fm., Albany, Wyoming. Authenticity guaranteed. A fantastic specimen. You don't see these claws very often!
