A RARE, Pectinodon bakkeri tooth from the Hell Creek Fm. of western North America. An anterior tooth. Pectinodon is a small Troodontid and has teeth similar to Troodon. Pectinodon are known for their very unique shaped teeth with unusually large distal serrations. The enamel is excellent with a great brown color. Excellent large posterior and no anterior serrations. No repair or restoration. Legally collected on private land in the Hell Creek Fm., Meade Co., So. Dakota. Authenticity guaranteed. This is your chance to own a rare, quality Pectinodon tooth. Details

Troodontids are a small, bird-like dinosaur that lived in western N. America during the late Cretaceous Period. There is one named species from the Judith River Fm. of Montana - Troodon formosus. In recently recents, the North American Troodontid has been lump into two new genera - Stenonychosaurus and Latenivenatrix mcmasterae (van der Reest & Currie, 2017). Troodontids are know for a large brain, large eyes, and a very unique shaped tooth. The Hell Creek Fm. Troodontid has not been described, but it shares the same very unique tooth as all Troodontids do. Pectinodon is a small Troodontid has teeth similar to Troodon.
