Struthiomimus is a long legged, bipedal, toothless dinosaur found in the Hell Creek formation. The Struthiomimus means "ostrich mimic" which best describes this species. A Top Quality, Triceratops horridus toe bone (pes digit) from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. Triceratops was a large ceratopsian dinosaur found in the Hell Creek and Lance Creek formations which is know for three horns and the large frill protecting its neck. This is an excellent toe bone with excellent detail preserved and good color / patina. This is the large toe I - digit 1 bone. You can see the "mushroom" appearance of proximal ends which is a characteristic of Triceratops and distinguishes it from a Hadrosaur toe bone. Triceratops bones are more difficult to find. A LARGE, Top Quality Denversaurus schlessmani osteoderm (bony armor plate) from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. Denversaurus schlessmani was the Nodosaur which grew to 20 feet and 6000 pounds, and a body covered with this heavy bony armor. Nodosaur armor plates are thicker than the Ankylosaur plates. A near complete body osteoderm plate from an adult Denversaurus with excellent surface articulation. The bone is excellent quality with excellent color / patina. No cracks or restoration. A rare Top Quality Othnielosaurus consurs fibula bone from the Morrison Fm. This Othnielosaurus fibula measures 7-7/8". The bone is high quality. Excellent brown color and patina. Great overall condition with no restoration. Just basic crack fill. Othnielosaurus was a hypsilophodont dinosaur that lived during the late Jurassic. It was a fast moving herbivore / omnovore. A rare, Top Quality Anzu wyliei caudal (tail) vertebra from the Hell Creek Fm. of Montana. Anzu is referred to as the "Chicken from Hell". An excellent vertebra. Also note the large pneumatic fossa on the sides - an Anzu vertebra trait. There is a segment of tendon fossilized with this vertebra. A rare, Top Quality Triceratops horridus epoccipital (frill ornament) from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. Triceratops was a large ceratopsian dinosaur found in the Hell Creek and Lance Creek formations which is know for three horns and a large frill protecting its neck. This epoccipital has excellent detail preserved and great color / patina. The epoccipitals were triangular bone ornaments that lined the top of the frill. The young Triceratops had narrow and tall epoccipitals, older juvenile Triceratops had low and wide epoccipitals, and adult Triceratops no longer had this ornament. You can see this epoccipital is wide which is a characteristic of an older juvenile Triceratops.
