A well preserved, rare Scyphocrinites elegans crinoid holdfast from Morocco. The crinoid stem attached to these floating holdfasts. The Scyphocrinites crinoids were floating crinoids and their holdfast was actually an air bladder that supported multiple stems and calyx. This holdfast is bulbous with a fantastic detail. A peg stand is included as in the photos. These crinoid holdfasts make excellent fantastic display pieces. An ultra rare, Top Quality EXTRA LARGE Parotodus benedeni lateral tooth with a massive root from the St. Mary's River, Georgia. A Miocene age tooth from the Hawthorne Fm. A November Fossil of the Month. An incredible red colored tooth! Highest quality enamel with sharp edges and tip. Root is massive, complete, nicely articulated, and has a small hydration crack. No repair or restoration. Authenticity guaranteed. A very difficult tooth to locate from a loction that produces few Parotodus teeth. You never see top quality Parotodus teeth from the St. Mary's River. This is a very old collection piece. My largest and BEST St. Mary's red benedeni tooth!

"The Color Collection - North of the River"  An EXTRA LARGE, TOP QUALITY, upper jaw anterior Isurus planus tooth from the Sharktooth Hill area, California. This tooth is displayed on its original Round Mountain silt matrix along with a 5-1/4" whale bone. Beautiful blue crown with an excellent brown colored root. Excellent preservation. A rare GEM QUALITY Basilosaurus cetoides, an Archaeocete whale tooth found in the Flint River, Georgia. An exceptional molar. An April Fossil of the Month. An ultra rare, Record Size, Top Quality Carcharoides totuserratus (extinct Mackerel) shark tooth from the Fishermans Steps, Jan Juc, Victoria, Australia. A World Record size for this species - so we believe. A May Fossil of the Month. Incredible color and preservation. Complete tooth. This tooth is Late Oligocene (Janjukian) from the Jan Juc Fm. There is a crack at the base of the crown that was stabilized without breaking.  An ultra rare collector's Carcharoides totuserratus tooth. No repair or restoration. Authenticity guaranteed. Australian fossil shark teeth are nearly impossible to source. This is an incredible specimen from an old collection.
