The December week #3 Fossil of the Month is an ultra rare, HIGH QUALITY Carcharocles megalodon - upper jaw anterior tooth from Morocco. It has an exceptional tan colored crown with an excellent brown bourlette - 90% complete. High quality enamel with small hydration cracks. Sharp serrations with a rounded tip serration. The root is orange and nicely articulated with essentially no hydration cracks. A Top Quality Carcharodon hastalis, Broad-tooth "Mako", shark tooth - upper jaw anterior tooth from the "De Kuilen" sand pit, Mill, The Netherlands. This is a "Blue" layer tooth which are know for the highest preservation and best color - rarely seen outside of Europe. This tooth has excellent color and preservation. Sharp cutting edge. A Top Quality Abelisaurid dinosaur tooth from the Cretaceous Kem Kem deposits of Morocco. An October Fossil of the Month. Once thought to be a "raptor" tooth, it is now clear that these teeth are Abelisaurid, a family of Ceratosaurian theropod dinosaurs with the unique straight posterior carina. They were the dominate smaller theropod in the late Cretaceous Kem Kem deposit. Excellent red color and serrations. Excellent preservation. No repair or restoration. Authenticity guaranteed.
