A rare, Top Quality Otodus sokolovi tooth from the desert of Fayum Depression, Birket-le-Qurun, Egypt. A February Fossil of the Month. Excellent condition and preservation. No repair or restoration. Complete tooth. This tooth was found in the Qsar-el-Sagha Fm., and is late Eocene age (38-42 MYA). Authenticity guaranteed. I have never seen an Otodus sokolovi tooth from Egypt. P. anceps is one of the largest mosasaur species known with huge nearly round teeth used for crushing prey.  Exceptional condition and preservation.
