A Top Quality Lepidodendron section from Llewellen, Pennsylvania. The Lepidodendron is extinct genus of tree-sized primitive lycopsid plants that evolved during the Pennsylvanian Period. They are large vascular plants which is related to todays club mosses. This specimen is well preserved with dimple-like depressions covering the outer surface. Pennsylvanian age. (300 mya). It weighs 2.5 pounds. Authenticity guaranteed.

An ultra rare, Top Quality Struthiomimus altus hand (manus) claw from the late Cretaceous of North America. A November Fossil of the Month.  Struthiomimus is a long legged, bipedal, toothless dinosaur found in the Hell Creek formation. The Struthiomimus means "ostrich mimic" which best describes this species. Exceptional bone quality and color. Excellent bone preservation. The tip was repaired which is quite common for claws. As noted by the front leg size difference, Edmontosaurus could put little weight on them. No repair or restoration. Legally collected on private land in the Hell Creek Fm., Powder River Co., Montana. An ultra rare, Top Quality EXTRA LARGE Edestus heinrichi shark whorl section with 4 big crowns, from Sparta, Illinois. An August Fossil of the Month. This is a Paleozoic shark that lived in swamps that our now underground coal deposits. Excellent preservation and serrations. Note - extra long root whorl section with 4 extra large crowns - very rare. The Edestus shark would have an upper and lower tooth whorl that are vertically opposed. Research showed that they could use their opposing teeth in a scissor-like motion to cut prey. It is the first animal to cut vertically. A very strange looking and unique acting shark. Shark recreation image is credited to Julio Lacerdo. These rare teeth are Pennsylvanian age from Illinois. No repair or restoration. Authenticity guaranteed. A Top Quality Ptychodus anonymus, an extinct durophagous (shell-crushing) shark, tooth from Dallas Co., Texas. An excellent example of this Upper Cretaceous Kamp Ranch Fm. tooth. A Top Quality Pachychephalosaurus wyomingensis maxillary tooth from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. Pachychephalosaurus is the dinosaur which is famous for its large domed head surrounded by spikes. The enamel is excellent quality with excellent color / patina. An ultra rare, top quality 4-1/8" Sharktooth Hill Megalodon tooth found in the Round Mountain Silt near Bakersfield, California. A location that produces very few Megalodon teeth and one of the toughest Megs to locate. A November 2019 Fossil of the Month. This Megalodon tooth remains on the original matrix block which includes two whale bones - all original as found! Highest quality enamel with a great light tan color. The bourlette is a slightly darker light tan and essentially complete. The root is nicely articulated and complete.
