An incredibly prepared, GEM QUALITY Erbenochile erbeni trilobite, the "Big Eyes" trilobite. An April Fossil of the Month. German preparation. A very ornate design with thorax spines and incredible "tower" compound eyes! The massive eyes provided 360 degree visual coverage and allowed this trilobite to see behind itself over the thorax. Excellent shell and spine preservation. Large size. A very rare species! An Early Devonian (410 mya) trilobite from the Jbel Gara el Zguilma area, Atlas Mts., Morocco. A Top Quality Tyrannosaur tooth from the late Cretaceous (Campanian) in northern North America. Please note that this tooth could Gorgosaurus or Daspletosaurus - see Detailed Discussion below. This tooth measures 1-13/16" - an excellent Tyrannosaur tooth. An incredible 5-1/4" GEM, Classic Lee Creek Megalodon tooth. It has an excellent medium blue colored crown with an exceptional hazel brown bourlette. Highest quality enamel. Fantastic color! One of the finest examples of a classic upper jaw anterior blue Lee Creek Megs considering the shape, color, and preservation. An exceptional collector's tooth from the old days at Lee Creek mine. A RARE, Albertavenator curriei  (Troodon) tooth from the Horseshoe Canyon Fm. of Alberta, Canada. Troodontid teeth are known for their very unique shaped teeth with unusually large distal serrations. The enamel is excellent with an excellent brown color.  Excellent large posterior and anterior serrations. Please note that Albertavenator teeth typically have anterior (mesial) serrations. There is a wear facet on theanterior side. No repair or restoration. Legally collected on private land in the Horseshoe Canyon Fm., Alberta, Canada. These Albertavenator teeth were collected pre-July 1978 and a Confirmation Certificate #001427 was granted (see photo). An ultra rare, Top Quality Edestus heinrichi associted pair of whorls, from Herrin, Illinois. A July Fossil of the Month. This is a Paleozoic shark that lived in swamps that our now underground coal deposits. An ultra rare assoiiated pair of tooth whorls. Note - the crown tips are naturally rounded (polished)  which thought to be due to wear from the vertical whipping motion used to slice prey. Excellent preservation, serrations, and serration detail. The Edestus shark would have an upper and lower tooth whorl that are vertically opposed. Research showed that they could use their opposing teeth in a scissor-like motion or a vertical whipping motion to cut prey. It is the first animal to cut vertically. A very strange looking and unique acting shark. Shark recreation image is credited to Julio Lacerdo. These rare teeth are Pennsylvanian age from Illinois. No repair or restoration. Authenticity guaranteed. This is the first associated whorl pait that I have seen.
