A rare, Top Quality Anzu wyliei toe (pes) claw from the Hell Creek Fm. of SE Montana. Anzu is referred to as the "Chicken from Hell". An excellent pes claw. Excellent rich brown color and patina. This specimen has excellent perservation - no pitting, nicks or wear. Note - the tip was professsionally restored which is typical for most Hell Creek claws. A very rare, colorful GEM Quality Tyrannosaurus rex  tooth. This tooth measures 2-1/16".  A June Fossil of the Month. The enamel has an exceptional two-tone color and patina (see Photos #2 & 3).  Incredible natural gloss. Exceptional mesial and distal serrations. Base cross-section is a tall oval. No hydration cracks. A small section on the distal carina is restored. A top quality tooth! T-Rex was the apex during the late Cretaceous with massive teeth capable of crushing its prey. Note - This tooth exhibits the classic characteristic shape of the middle Miocene Mako teeth found both in the Lee Creek mine and the NC red site. I do not see this Mako tooth shape from other Miocene deposits. Possibly a hastalis species variation and it is referred to as the "narrow form". Maximum size is approximately 2". This tooth has a rich tan & blue crown and a tan colored root. Excellent colors!  Razor sharp cutting edge. Excellent preservation - note nutrient hole on root. It is a Miocene tooth from the Pungo River Fm. An excellent collector's tooth. Authenticity guaranteed.
