A group of six TOP QUALITY, Metasequoia dakotensis cones on original Hell Creek Formation matrix from Montana. These "dinosaur age" pine cones are found in the Hell Creek Formation of Dawson Co., Montana. A March Fossil of the Month.   These Upper Cretaceous pine cones are high quality with great preservation.They are fully inflated spheres and maximun size (redwoods produce very small cones for their size!). The Metasequoia is the "dawn redwood", and it is one of the three redwood conifers species. Authenticity guaranteed. An incredible display piece.

A natural Hoploscaphites nodosus ammonite and a Nautilus (Eutrephoceras) with excellent preservation of the shell material. A December Fossil of the Month. This ammonite species exhibits big ribs with large tubercles (nodes). Both ammonites are nicely displayed on their original Pierre Shale matrix with a flat base. Matrix size is 4.5" x 2.5". A TOP QUALITY, EXTRA LARGE & very rare Archaeocete whale, Zygorhiza kochii. Our November Fossil of the Month is a highly desirable Zygorhiza molar or "yoke" tooth.  An exceptional light brown colored crown and tan root. Nicely articulated. Complete root. This tooth has minimal repair to 2nd & 4th cusp on the left side and a small amount to the 4th cusp on the right side. Very little repair overall for a yoke tooth which are typically heavily repaired.  The BEST Archaeocete molar that I have seen from So. Carolina in a long time. A very rare collector's tooth. A rare, Top Quality Edmontosaurus annectens fossil skin specimen from the late Cretaceous of North America. An August Fossil of the Month. Edmontosaurus is a very large hadrosaur or "duck-bill" dinosaur found in the Hell Creek formation. This is a well presereved fossil skin section that sits on top of a section of bone. An Extra Large, Top Quality Priscacara (Cockerellites) liops fish from the 18" layer, Green River Fm., Lincoln Co. Wyoming. The Priscacara liops is an extinct Perch from the Eocene age (50 MYA). A Top Quality Eurypterus lacustris, the "Sea Scorpion", from Buffalo, New York. A November Fossil of the Month.
