A TOP QUALITY, LARGE Stylemys nebrascensis, a fossil tortoise shell, from the White River Badlands, Brule Formation, South Dakota. Fantastic color and preservation. Note that Stylemys is thought to be a burrowing tortoise which helps maintain the 3-D in aspect of the shell when they are died in their burrow. Exceptional preparation with a little restoration done to the left side (front view) which is minor and common for the White River tortoise shells. A Pathologic, Top Quality Chilean Hexanchus griseus tooth from the Caldera Basin of Chile. This is an upper jaw tooth with three primary cusps, but it should have had 5 cusps. Two cusp did not form. Excellent preservation and fantastic color. Perfect cusps. These tooth was found in the Bahia Inglesa Fm. and is late Miocene to early Pliocene age. A rare, incredibly preserved Caenocidaris cucumifera, a fossil club echinoid (urchin). The specimen is fully inflated, nicely articulated, and complete with ornate spines - a very aesthetic display. These “Club” echinoids on matrix include some composite spines/radioles from their species. These spines are challenging to find. This fantastic echinoid is middle Jurassic period from from Boulemane, Middle Atlas Mts., Morocco. A very special collector item and a fantastic display piece. NO repair! Authenticity guaranteed.
