A very rare Top Quality Paraisurus compressus, an extinct Mackerel shark, tooth from Tarrant Co., Texas. An excellent example of this Lower Cretaceous Paw Paw Fm. tooth. Otodus obliquus is the ancestor to O. auriculatus (see detailed discussion below) which leads to Megalodon. The bourlette is large and complete. Exhibits no serrations. An early Top Quality Sevengill Cow shark (Notorhynchus primigenius) - an upper jaw parasymphyseal shark tooth from Aizey/Weinhiem, Germany. A GEM Quality Carcharodon carcharias, the Great White shark, tooth from So. Carolina. An upper jaw anterior tooth. Solid charcoal gray colored enamel and a solid dark gray colored root. Root is well preserved - very difficult to find in the Carolina GWs. Exceptional razor sharp serrations with a great tip serration. An EXCELLENT Great White shark collector's tooth.
