A LARGE, TOP QUALITY serrated Nanotyrannus lancensis premaxillary tooth from the western US. The premaxillary teeth were the front teeth, have a "D" shaped base, and were not large. Most Nano premaxillary teeth are non-serrate. This Nano has small serrations on one side - rare.  This premaxillary (front) tooth measures 1" (straight line).  The enamel is excellent quality. The Carcharomodus escheri  was named as a new genus in 2015 based upon a crenulated cutting edge ("wavy serrations"), slender & distally inclined crown, and side cusplets. This tooth has good color and preservation. Sharp cutting edge. The age is late Miocene (approx. 6-8 million years ago). An excellent rare collector's tooth. Authenticity guaranteed.
