An ULTRA RARE,  Top Quality 6-1/8" Classic Lee Creek Megalodon tooth, an upper jaw PRINCIPAL ANTERIOR tooth from Aurora, No. Carolina. A July Fossil of the Month selection. This Megalodon tooth has an incredible light tan colored crown with an excellent brown bourlette. Highest quality enamel with essentially no hydration cracks - rare for a big Meg tooth! Exceptional color. The serrations are large and razor sharp with an excellent tip serration. Fantastic serrations for a BIG Meg! The root is exceptional - an excellent tan color, no hydration cracks, extra wide and absolutely complete. The finest root that I have seen on a BIG Megalodon tooth. This Megalodon was found in the Yorktown Formation, Lee Creek mine, NC (Pliocene age = 5 MYA). Rarely do you see a 6" Lee Creek Megalodon tooth and rarely are they high quality. An EXTRA LARGE, rare Top Quality Camarasaurus tooth, a late Jurassic sauropod tooth from the Morrison Fm. A September Fossil of the Month. Camarasaurus had robust spoon shaped teeth to tear tough vegetation. This tooth is complete with incredible surfaces. The enamel is highest quality. Great rich black color. Exceptional enamel articulation. There was a small repair at the base of the root only. No repair or restoration to the crown.
