An exceptionally preserved, fossil dog jaw (Canis familiaris). This is a complete lower jaw with ten teeth from Austria. An October Fossil of the Month. This early dog is from the La Tene period (Younger Iron Time) and is 2300 years old during the Roman Period. Dogs were domesticated from the wolves by man for hunting & protection. A Top Quality, Otodus obliquus pathologic tooth from the Khouribga phosphate mining area of Morocco. A lateral tooth which is excessively recurved. This tooth has an excellent golden tan color and a white root. Sharp edges with a damaged tip. A massive, thick root. No repair or restoration. The "Flying" Top Quality Crotalocephalina gibbus trilobite. A January Fossil of the Month. The preparation is German directed with all original colors and no restoration. Highest quality enamel - complete! Exceptional color! The bourlette is excellent and complete! The serrations are large and razor sharp - perfect. An excellent tip serration. Exceptional serrations for a big Meg! The root is an excellent tan color and absolutely complete. This Megalodon was found in the Pungo River Formation, Lee Creek mine, NC (Miocene age = 15 MYA).
