A GEM quality Chubutensis tooth - an upper jaw anterior tooth from So. Carolina. Otodus chubutensis or Chubutensis is the extinct ancestor of the Megalodon shark. An August Fossil of the Month. An incredible blue & tan colored crown. Top quality enamel. The brown bourlette is large and complete. Sharp serrations are near complete (only 2 partially damaged) and an excellent tip serration. The root is brown colored and complete with no hydration cracks. Note the small cusp-like bumps at the base of the cutting edge and the grooves on the sides of the root ends - both are Chubutensis characteristics. No repair or restoration. A TOP QUALITY, LARGE Araucaria mirabilis pine cone limb section from Argentina. This limb section is nicely articulated and demonstrates the excellent preservation that is present with the cones. As shown, one end was cut and polished to show wood detail. I will not be getting any more as exports have stopped. A nice display piece to accompany your cones.  Authenticity guaranteed.

A very rare Auriculatus lower lateral tooth from the deserts of Peru. An excellent tan crown and brown root. The serrations are very nice -  large and razor sharp. Excellent side cusp development and a complete root. Note - the right right appears to be reattached. Excellent preservation.  These Peruvian Rics are very rare! You cannot find them any more. Authenticity guaranteed. One of the most dificult Auriculatus teeth to locate.
