A HUGE, Top Quality Ptychodus mammillaris, an extinct durophagous (shell-crushing) shark, tooth from Dallas Co., Texas. An excellent example of this Upper Cretaceous Kamp Ranch Fm. tooth. These massive teeth have a design with strong transverse ridges across the cusp that transition to a concentric pattern at the base of the cusp. Authenticity guaranteed. Note - one margin has a natural crack which contains matrix within it and the root structure is missing. This is a rare species and a suer rare size - this specimen exceeds the maximum size recorded for Texas!

An Ultra Rare, TOP QUALITY Spicomellus afer spike osteoderm from the earliest known Ankylosaur found in the Boulemane region of Morocco. An October Fossil of the Month.  An excellent spike with an incredible natural black color and patina. The surface quality is exceptional with no pitting, nicks or wear! Fully inflated.
