A TOP QUALITY very rare classic Parotodus benedeni tooth from the Lee Creek mine, Aurora, No. Carolina. Lateral tooth. The crown has sharp cutting edges. Excellent tan color with a light tan root and bourlette. The root is ~3/4" thick and shows typical hydration cracks. This Parotodus tooth was found in the Yorktown Formation (Pliocene age). The May 2015 Fossil of the Month. My BEST GEM, EXTRA LARGE Megalodon PRINCIPAL ANTERIOR upper jaw tooth from the Ashapoo River, So. Carolina. A "PICTURE" Meg with a gorgeous light brown ("Ashapoo") crown with charcoal colored "clouds". Highest quality enamel. The medium brown bourlette is incredible, very glossy, nearly complete, and very showy. The serrations are incredibly large and sharp with an excellent tip serration, and 100% complete - perfect! Incredible serrations for a big Meg - among the finest (see the close photos)! The root is complete, nicely articulated, few hydration cracks and a gorgeous chocolate brown color. Excellent symmetry. An ultra rare, Quality lower jaw lateral Hexanchus tooth - the Sixgill Cow shark, from the Lee Creek mine, Aurora, No. Carolina. This tooth has a rich blue & tan crown with a tan root. Nine main cusps (one damaged). Please note that this tooth broke in two and was neatly put back together.  Incredible color and preservation. These are Pliocene age, Yorktown Formation teeth. A rare well preserved, Cave Hyena jaw section with three teeth (Crocuta crocuta spelaea) from the Yakutsk Region, Siberia. The Cave Hyena is also known as the Ice Age Spotted Hyena. These extra large hyenas lived in the mountain caves from central Europe to Russia. A Top Quality Carcharodon carcharias, the Great White shark, tooth from So. Carolina. An upper jaw anterior tooth. Solid black colored enamel and a solid dark brown colored root.
