An EXTRA LARGE, very rare, GEM Quality Parotodus benedeni  tooth with a massive root from Euhaw Creek, Jasper Co., So. Carolina. A Miocene-Pliocene age tooth from the Hawthorne Fm. Nice Charcoal Gray color. Lateral tooth. Highest quality enamel with razor sharp edges and a "needle-like" sharp tip. Root is complete, thick (11/16"), nicely articulated, and a very small hydration crack. No wear! No repair or restoration. Authenticity guaranteed. A very difficult tooth to locate.

An EXTRA LARGE, pyrite replaced Paraspirifer bownockeri brachiopod from the Silica Shale Fm., Sylvania, Ohio. Brachiopods are bivalve molluscs, and this is a big one. Both valves present  - complete specimen and matrix free. Note -  1-1/8" thick and heavy! This is a Devonian (395 mya) brachiopod. The big Silica Fm. brachiopod. A very rare, early Otodus obliquus anterior tooth from Kzil-Orda Region, Kazakhstan. Otodus obliquus is the ancestor to O. auriculatus (see detailed discussion below) which leads to Megalodon. The bourlette is large and complete. Exhibits no serrations. The starting species to serrated Otodus teeth. These teeth exhibit very good color, gloss, and preservation. A rare, early Eocene (Ypresian) Auriculatus transition tooth. P. anceps is one of the largest mosasaur species known with huge nearly round teeth used for crushing prey.  Exceptional condition and preservation. Extra wide base! A Very Rare, Top Quality Notidanodon pectinatus tooth from Hornby Island, British Columbia, Canada. An August Fossil of the Month. This genius is from the Late Cretaceous deep water Northumberland Formation deposit. A unique species of Hexanchiforme shark.
