A TOP QUALITY Arcophoca longirostris seal jaw from the Bahia Inglesa Fm., Copiapo, Chile. An August Fossil of the Month. Arcophoca is a late Miocene age seal. This jaw (mandible) is complete with a perfect canine and 4 molars. There are multiple cracks in the jaw that were glued / stabilized without filler. Great preservation and color. A Top Quality Ptychodus mortoni, an extinct durophagous (shell-crushing) shark, tooth from Dallas Co., Texas. A November Fossil of the Month. An excellent example of this Upper Cretaceous Eagle Ford Fm. tooth. These massive teeth have a design includes a high cusp with radiating occlusal ridges extending across the cusp face.
