A TOP QUALITY, EXTRA LARGE & very rare Archaeocete whale, Zygorhiza kochii, from Harleyville, So. Carolina. Our 2nd November Fossil of the Month is a highly desirable Zygorhiza molar or "yoke" tooth.  An exceptional chocolate brown colored crown and tan root. The crown has fantastic articulation with incredible detail. Complete root. This tooth has minimal repair to tips of the 3 cusps on the left side only. Very little repair overall for a yoke tooth which are typically heavily repaired.  One of the BEST Archaeocete molars that I have seen from So. Carolina in a long time. A very rare collector's tooth. Museum Quality.  Note - 6" x 8" Riker frame included. One of my favorites!

The November week #4 FOTM is a GEM JET BLACK, EXTRA LARGE Megalodon upper jaw tooth from So. Carolina. Highest quality enamel. An ultra rare, top quality 5-5/8" Sharktooth Hill Megalodon tooth. A location that produces very few large Megalodon teeth and one of the toughest Megs to locate. Note - the interlocking indentations along the side of the root lobes. This characteristic is only seen in the early to middle Miocene Megs - very unique!  A Museum quality specimen. No repair! You will not see these middle Miocene Sharktooth Hill Megs from Bakersfield, California very often!  One of the rarest Megs! A collection piece from the old days.

An Ultra Rare nicely prepared, Struveapis sp. trilobite. A new phacopid trilobite with diagnostic characteristics including schizochroal eyes with fewer facets, a broader cephalon, and a smoother exoskeleton. An excellent specimen with good detail and completeness. The preparation is German directed with all original colors and no restoration. Great natural black with good luster. Oneecompound eye is exceptionally preserved. A Middle Devonian (380 mya) trilobite from the Jorf area, Atlas Mts., Morocco. Authenticity guaranteed. A rare trilobite!
