An EXTRA LARGE, pyrite replaced Paraspirifer bownockeri brachiopod from the Silica Shale Fm., Sylvania, Ohio. Brachiopods are bivalve molluscs, and this is a big one. Both valves present  - complete specimen and matrix free. Note -  1-1/8" thick and heavy! This is a Devonian (395 mya) brachiopod. The big Silica Fm. brachiopod. A rare, EXTRA LARGE, GEM Quality Anzu wyliei hand (manus) claw from the Hell Creek Fm. of SE Montana. A February Fossil of the Month. Anzu is referred to as the "Chicken from Hell". A fantastic manus claw. This is 1st manus claw which is largest and most robust; often referred as the "thumb". Excellent rich brown color and patina. This specimen has incredible preservation - no pitting, nicks or wear. All surfaces are fantasic - very rare. Note - a small tip area was professionally restored which is typical for most Hell Creek claws. The repair is quite small with the repaired area being 5 mm on the right facing side of the tip. On the left facing side of tip, it is 1-2 mm. This is top quality, collector's claw from the Hell Creek of Montana. A serrated Top Quality Tyrannosaur juvenile premaxillary tooth from the late Cretaceous (Campanian - Two Medicine Fm.) in northern North America. Please note that this tooth could Gorgosaurus or Daspletosaurus - see Detailed Discussion below. This tooth measures 13/16" -  an excellent juvenile premaxillary (front) Tyrannosaur tooth. The enamel is high quality with excellent color. This premax tooth is fully serrated, and the serrations are incredible. Serrated to the tip with an excellent unworn tip. No crack, repair or restoration. Legally collected on private land in the Two Medicine Fm., Glacier Co., Montana. Most likely an excellent Daspletosaurus juvenile tooth based on size and roundness of the tooth cross-section. Authenticity guaranteed. An excellent collector's tooth. This tooth is every bit as massive as a T. rex juvenile tooth! Daspletosaurus seems like a good fit. This is the finest serrated premax tooth that I have seen!

An ultra rare Mosasaur matrix piece with two Top Quality Mosasaurus (Prognathodon) anceps teeth with their original roots. Another May 2018 Fossil of the Month selection. Includes a massive 5-1/2" tooth and a 3" tooth in the original matrix. Both are fully rooted and perfect teeth which is very rare! This is not your typical Mosasaur crown glued to a root. A Top Quality, 4-1/2" Classic Peruvian Early Megalodon tooth. Our 2nd February 2017 Fossil of the Month. This Megalodon has an incredible tan colored crown with an excellent tan bourlette. Highest quality enamel. The bourlette is excellent and essentially complete. The serrations are extra large and razor sharp with an excellent tip serration. The root is an excellent reddish brown color and complete. This Megalodon was found in the Ocucate area of Peru (Miocene age). Note -  the "root ears"on the root, root wing grooves, the exceptionally large serrations, and Chubutensis-like humps at the base of the serrations - all Miocene traits. A top quality example of a classic Peruvian Miocene Megalodon tooth considering the shape, color, and preservation. An exceptional collector's tooth from the old days! Museum Quality Megalodon. A very rare, Otodus auriculatus tooth from the copper-red site of No. Carolina. The crown has coarse serrations. The side cusps are typical of the Otodus obliquus. Complete root.
