A TOP QUALITY, LARGE rare Araucaria mirabilis pine cone specimen from Argentina. Another May 2018 Fossil of the Month. The Scyphocrinites crinoids were floating crinoids and their holdfast was actually an air bladder that supported multiple stems and calyx. This holdfast is bulbous with a fantastic detail. A peg stand is included as in the photos. These crinoid holdfasts make excellent fantastic display pieces.
