An ultra rare Mosasaur matrix piece with two Top Quality Mosasaurus (Prognathodon) anceps teeth with their original roots. Another May 2018 Fossil of the Month selection. Includes a massive 5-1/2" tooth and a 3" tooth in the original matrix. Both are fully rooted and perfect teeth which is very rare! This is not your typical Mosasaur crown glued to a root. A Top Quality Ankylosaurid osteoderm (bony armor plate) from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. Ankylosaurids had their body covered with this bony armor. An incredibly well preserved egg shell section from a Saltasaurus, a Titantosaur sauropod, from Patagonia, Argentina. These egg shell large pieces are larger than most and are massive with a shell thickness up to 1/4". These late Cretaceous age shells were found in the Anacleto Formation (80 MYA) in the Neuquen Province, Patagonia, Argentina. All natural. No restoration. Authenticity guaranteed. An ULTRA RARE, Top Quality 5-7/8" Tyrannosaurus rex tooth with root. This crown measures 2-1/4" and is root thick (1-1/2"). The crown and root enamel has very good color and patina. Serrations are worn and there is some enamel peel. Tip end is worn round which is very typical with adult Rex teeth. Several cracks in the crown were filled and stabilized. The root has no hydration cracks - incredible quality. You will not find a better quality root! A top quality, massive Rex tooth from an adult T. Rex.
