An EXTRA LARGE, very rare, GEM Quality Parotodus benedeni  tooth with a massive root from Ridgeville., So. Carolina. A Miocene-Pliocene age tooth from the Hawthorne Fm. Nice Tan color. Lateral tooth. A May Fossil of the Month. Highest quality enamel with raxor sharp edges and a "needle-like" sharp tip. Root is complete, very thick (11/16"), nicely articulated, and a very small hydration crack. A Top Quality Ankylosaurid osteoderm (bony armor plate) from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. Ankylosaurids had their body covered with this bony armor. A body osteoderm section from a juvenile Ankylosaurid . The bone is excellent quality with excellent color and patina. It has an  excellent keel like design and is very thick. Some crack fill.. A GEM, 6" Classic Lee Creek Megalodon tooth - ANTERIOR tooth. Our March 2017 Fossil of the Month. This Megalodon has an incredible light golden tan colored crown with an exceptional white bourlette and mostly complete. Highest quality enamel. Exceptional golden tan color! The bourlette is huge and near perfect. The serrations are razor sharp with an exceptional tip serration. Nearly PERFECT serrations (2-3 serrations damaged near the base  - all serrations are razor sharp. Exceptional serrations for a really big Meg! The root is an excellent white color with few no hydration cracks and complete. This Megalodon was found in the Pungo River Formation, Lee Creek mine, NC (Miocene age = 14.5 MYA). A very rare Edestus heinrichi  shark tooth, from Herrin, Illinois. This is a Paleozoic shark that lived in swamps that our now underground coal deposits. Very good preservation with excellent serrations. The Edestus shark would have an upper and lower tooth whorl that are vertically opposed. Research showed that they could use their opposing teeth in a scissor-like motion to cut prey. It is the first animal to cut vertically. A very strange looking and unique acting shark. Shark recreation image is credited to Julio Lacerdo. These rare teeth are Pennsylvanian age from Illinois. No repair or restoration. Authenticity guaranteed.

A Top Quality Abelisaurid dinosaur tooth from the Cretaceous Kem Kem deposits of Morocco. Once thought to be a "raptor" tooth, it is now clear that these teeth are Abelisaurid, a family of Ceratosaurian theropod dinosaurs with the unique straight posterior carina. They were the dominate smaller theropod in the late Cretaceous Kem Kem deposit. Excellent red color and serrations. Excellent preservation. No repair or restoration. Authenticity guaranteed.
