A TOP QUALITY, Metasequoia dakotensis cone from Montana. These "dinosaur age" pine cones are found in the Hell Creek Formation of Dawson Co., Montana. These Upper Cretaceous pine cones are high quality with great preservation.They are fully inflated spheres and maximun size (redwoods produce very small cones for their size!). The Metasequoia is the "dawn redwood", and it is one of the three redwood conifers species. Authenticity guaranteed.

A rare, Top Quality Otodus sokolovi tooth from the desert of Fayum Depression, Birket-le-Qurun, Egypt. A February Fossil of the Month. Excellent condition and preservation. No repair or restoration. Complete tooth. This tooth was found in the Qsar-el-Sagha Fm., and is late Eocene age (38-42 MYA). Authenticity guaranteed. I have never seen an Otodus sokolovi tooth from Egypt. A Quality Prognathodon anceps tooth from the phosphate mining region, Khouribga, Morocco. P. anceps is one of the largest mosasaur species known with huge nearly round teeth used for crushing prey.  Exceptional condition and preservation. Note - the large Moroccan Mosasaurs have been renamed to a Prognathodon genus. No repair or restoration.  Authenticity guaranteed. This is a good specimen.

The October 2015 Week #2 FOTM is a rare, TOP QUALITY North Carolina Carcharocles megalodon. An excellent tooth from the copper-red site. It has an incredible copper-red colored crown. The enamel is the highest possible quality with small hydration cracks. A nice dark brown bourlette. Exceptional serrations and tip - one serration missing. Incredible condition for a big NC Meg.
