A 2nd May 2016 Fossil of the Month is a GEM light brown colored "Picture" Megalodon - PRINCIPAL ANTERIOR tooth. Fantastic colors - a mix of light brown, reddish brown, some blue and charcoal highlights. Highest quality enamel - glass-like surface with no hydration cracks. The finest enamel preservation - very rare! A very nice deep brown bourlette - 100% complete. Razor sharp serrations including an excellent tip serration. The root is incredible - a medium brown, nicely articulated, and complete with no hydration cracks on the display side. One of the finest preserved Megalodon teeth that I have seen. An exceptional collector's Megalodon tooth from a new Georgia site. A PERFECT "Picture" Megalodon tooth. BEST of the BEST!

An ULTRA RARE, MONSTER Great White shark tooth - upper jaw anterior tooth from Chile. A BIG pathologic GW tooth. A June Fossil of the Month. This tooth has a BLUE colored crown, a distinct gum line, and a burgundy root. Fantastic color! Highest quality enamel with little hydration cracks and no peeling. The enamel does have large wrinkles and the serration edge has multiple waves. Serrations are large with a good tip serration. The root is thick and extra wide. An EXTRA LARGE Tyrannosaur tooth from the late Cretaceous (Campanian) in northern North America. Please note that this tooth could Gorgosaurus or Daspletosaurus - see Detailed Discussion below. This tooth measures 3-1/4" - a BIGTyrannosaur tooth. A maxillary tooth. The enamel is good with good color. Anterior and posterior serrations are weak. Two cracks. Root etching. No restoration. A rare Top Quality Megalodon tooth from the Georgia - an upper jaw anterior tooth. The crown has excellent unique charcoal gray color. The enamel is the Highest Quality. A Large Black colored bourlette which is 85% complete. Razor sharp serrations including an good tip serration. The root is a charcoal black color, nicely articulated, thick (1-1/8"), and complete. This tooth is an excellent near black color. Incredible color! Note - these Georgia Megs are fantastic - essentially little sign of wear and excellent preservation. A rare Top Quality Megalodon tooth from the Georgia - an upper jaw anterior tooth. The crown has excellent BLACK color. The enamel is the Highest Quality. A Large Black colored bourlette which is complete. Razor sharp serrations including an good tip serration. The root is a black color, nicely articulated, robust, and complete. This tooth is a killer Georgia Black Meg tooth!  This tooth is exhibits "root ears" at the base of the crown and grooves on the root ends. These are traits of a Miocene age tooth.
