A very rare, High Quality Tyrannosaurus rex  tooth. This tooth measures 2-1/2". The enamel has an excellent color and patina. Very good mesial and distal serrations. Base cross-section is a extra large, tall oval. No hydration cracks. A small amount of crack fill and small sections were restored. A BIG high quality tooth! An EXTRA LARGE ultra rare, Top Quality Red Site Otodus megalodon tooth from the Meherrin River, North Carolina. An August Fossil of the Month. This Megalodon is a BIG upper jaw anterior tooth from the Meherrin River copper-red site. Exceptional rich copper red color. The enamel is the highest quality, and there is a cool bite mark on the display side (see the 5th photo). The serrations are large, razor sharp, and essentially complete with a good tip serration. Bourlette is extra large and brown - dentin layer. The root is wide & complete. A Pliocene Meg tooth. Note - the front center strip of enamel was professionally restored (high point of the tooth only).
