An EXTRA LARGE, TOP QUALITY Nanotyrannus lancensis tooth from the western US. An October Fossil of the Month. This tooth measures 2-1/4" (straight line). The enamel is excellent quality. The posterior serrations are exceptional and anterior serrations are excellent. A wide tooth with an extra large rectangular base with a typical Nano "pinched rectangle" cross-section. Possibly two cracks stabilized. No repair or restoration. Legally collected on private land in the Lance Creek Fm., Niobrara Co., Wyoming. A very rare, Top Quality Tyrannosaurus rex  tooth. This tooth measures 2-1/8".  The enamel has excellent color and patina. Excellent anterior and good posterior serrations. Base cross-section is a wide oval. Minimal hydration cracks with some crack fill. An excllent tooth! T-Rex was the apex during the late Cretaceous with massive teeth capable of crushing its prey.
