"The CLASSIC BIG DEVONIAN TRILOBITE" A GEM, EXTRA LARGE Drotops megamanicus trilobite that is freestanding on a pedestal of original matrix. It is beautifully prepared to give it a sculpted effect with the bottom of the cephalon, thorax, and pygidium are fully exposed. Preparation easily took many dozens of hours to clean this specimen! Incredible detail and completeness. Compound eyes are exceptionally preserved. A Middle Devonian trilobite. All natural - an incredible display piece. Museum quality specimen. A Top Quality, Rare Pachychephalosaurus wyomingensis spike from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. An April Fossil of the Month. A complete spike with excellent articulation. Pachychephalosaurus is the dinosaur which is famous for its large domed head surrounded by these spikes and nodes. These spikes and nodes were part of the Pachy skull. This spike has exceptional color / patina. The blood grooves are still present in the bone. It is a complete specimen with no cracks or breaks. Note - the excellent articulated skull surface on the base of the spike. Legally collected on private land in the Hell Creek Fm., Powder River Co., Montana. An excellent collector's quality Pachychephalosaurus spike. You don't see these skull pieces very often. A GEM, 5-1/16" Classic Lee Creek Megalodon tooth - ANTERIOR tooth. Our April 2017 Fossil of the Month. This Megalodon has an incredible light golden tan colored crown with an excellent hazel brown bourlette. Highest quality enamel. Exceptional golden tan color! The serrations are razor sharp with an exceptional tip serration. Nearly PERFECT serrations. Exceptional serrations for a big Meg! The root is an excellent tan color with few no hydration cracks and a "root ear" which is characteristic of the Miocene Megs. This Megalodon was found in the Pungo River Formation, Lee Creek mine, NC (Miocene age = 14.5 MYA). An excellent classic Lee Creek Megalodon tooth considering the shape, color, and preservation. A Top Quality Lambeosaur (Parasaurolophus) maxilla from the late Cretaceous (Judith River Fm.) of North America. An April Fossil of the Month. This is a complete upper jaw containing 100s exposed teeth. Parasaurolophus is a lambeosaur (crested) hadrosaur or "duck-bill" from the Judith River Formation in Montana. The maxilla possessed 100s teeth that were in rows of teeth which acted as conveyor belt to maintain a chewing surface to cut and grind their food. Bone quality is excellent. Minor crack fill. No restoration. Legally collected on private land in the Judith River Fm., Fergus Co., Mpntana.
