Our 2nd November FOTM is a GEM quality, rare Araucaria mirabilis pine cone specimen from Argentina. Extra large stem. Exceptional definition. Only slightly compressed. One of the finest pine cones that I have seen! No repair (that goes for all of the pine cones). This ultra rare cone is from an old collection with no new supply available. Authenticity guaranteed. A GEM BLACK & BROWN colored Megalodon - upper jaw ANTERIOR tooth. An exceptional black and brown crown on the display side and mottled black and brown reverse. Razor sharp serrations and tip. The serrations are essentially complete with damage to one - rare for a bigger Meg! The root has no hydration cracks and is complete. An EXCELLENT, Isurus oxyrhincus tooth, the Shortfin Mako, from the Meherrin River, No. Carolina. Upper jaw lateral tooth. Good copper red color with exceptional gloss.
