The Scyphocrinites crinoids were floating crinoids and their holdfast was actually an air bladder that supported multiple stems and calyx. This holdfast is bulbous with a fantastic detail. A 3-3/16" GEM Harleyville Auriculatus tooth.  A 2nd August Fossil of the Month. An exceptional upper jaw anterior tooth. Gorgeous tan colored crown with a red brown colored bourlette, and red root. A very rare, Top Quality juvenileTyrannosaurus rex  tooth . This first dentary tooth measures 1-1/16".  The enamel has excellent color and patina. Excellent mesial and good distal serrations. Base cross-section is a tall oval. No hydration cracks. No repair or restoration. A small section of the based is restored.. A top quality tooth!
