A silica replaced Cyrtospirifer brachiopod Rudkine near Voronezh, Russia. Brachiopods are bivalve molluscs. Both valves present  - complete specimens and matrix free. Exceptional preservation. Note - 3/4" thick and heavy! This is a late Devonian (370 mya) brachiopod. A nice display piece!

Our October Fossil of the Month (FOTM) is an incredible TOP QUALITY, EXTRA LARGE Megalodon upper jaw PRINCIPAL ANTERIOR tooth from a So. Carolina. A fantastic gray colored crown. A rare LARGE, TOP QUALITY Megalonyx jeffersonii sloth claw from an extinct genus of giant ground sloths from Georgia. A February Fossil of the Month.  This sloth claw has excellent preservation, and is 100% complete with no damage. Great black bone color and texture with a highly articulated natural bone surface. Excellent preservation of the proximal end. There is no restoration or repair. Authenticity guaranteed. A fantastic Pleistocene giant ground sloth claw specimen!  Comes a custom burl wood stand as pictured.

A 2nd May 2016 Fossil of the Month is a GEM light brown colored "Picture" Megalodon - PRINCIPAL ANTERIOR tooth. Fantastic colors - a mix of light brown, reddish brown, some blue and charcoal highlights. Highest quality enamel - glass-like surface with no hydration cracks. The finest enamel preservation - very rare! A very nice deep brown bourlette - 100% complete. Razor sharp serrations including an excellent tip serration. The root is incredible - a medium brown, nicely articulated, and complete with no hydration cracks on the display side. One of the finest preserved Megalodon teeth that I have seen. An exceptional collector's Megalodon tooth from a new Georgia site. A PERFECT "Picture" Megalodon tooth. BEST of the BEST!

An Ultra Rare, GEM Quality Sharktooth Hill Megalodon tooth found in the Round Mountain silt near Bakersfield, California. A location that produces very few Megalodon teeth and one of the toughest Meg teeth to locate. A March 2021 Fossil of the Month. This colorful tooth was found in a "fire zone" site south of the Kern River. Highest quality enamel with a great tan and golden tan colors with charcoal highlights. The bourlette is a red color and 100% complete. The serrations are extra large and 100% complete with a great tip. The root is nicely articulated and complete. Also note the grooves on the root ends - a Miocene trait. This is a middle Miocene Meg - very unique!  100% natural. No repair or restoration.
