An EXTRA LARGE exceptional Scaldicetus sp., a Sperm whale, tooth from Caldera area of Chile. A February Fossil of the Month. This tooth has exceptional preservation, fantastic brown color, and is exceptionally clean. Note - the bottom side of this specimen is nearly matrix free. An incredible, BIG late Miocene Sperm whale tooth from the Bahia Inglesa Fm. Museum Quality. A rare Mako shark tooth from Sumatra, Indonesia. These teeth appear to be juvenile Isurus desori teeth (narrow crown) and are scarce in the Sumatran deposit. They were deposited in the Telisa formation - a shallow marine environment during the middle Miocene (approx. 15 million years ago.) A very unique collector's tooth. D051 is the upper jaw tooth on the left. Authenticity guaranteed.
