Our 2nd November FOTM is a GEM quality, rare Araucaria mirabilis pine cone specimen from Argentina. Extra large stem. Exceptional definition. Only slightly compressed. A well preserved Glyptotherium scute from the ACE Basin, So. Carolina. The Glyptotherium  was an oversized armadillo with a thick shell that was a close relative to the Glyptodon. It evolved in the early Pliocene and became extinct at the end of the Pleistocene in North America. This is a scute is complete with some wear. Well fossilized. No repair or restoration. Authenticity guaranteed.

Three rare, Otodus obliquus vertebrae with nice color from the Khouribga phosphate mining area of Morocco. Exceptional concentric growth rings well preserved as well as the pair of ventral foramina openings along the side. Very thick at 9/16". The top centra faces are very clean. Eocene age. No repair or restoration. Authenticity guaranteed. Exceptional quality. You don't see associated Otodus vertebrae often!  Note - this specimen weighs  ~3 pounds. International orders with "free shipping" will require supplemental postage.
