Note - this tooth has a lot of pyrite and the tip is naturally rounded (polished)  which thought to be due to the vertical whipping motion used to slice prey.  Excellent preservation, serrations, and serration detail. The Edestus shark would have an upper and lower tooth whorl that are vertically opposed. A RARE, Troodon formosus tooth from the Hell Creek Fm. of western North America. Troodontid teeth are known for their very unique shaped teeth with unusually large distal serrations. The enamel is excellent with a good brown color.  Excellent large posterior and no anterior serrations. Please note that Hell Creek Fm. Troodon teeth typically have weak or no anterior serrations. An ultra rare Orcinus sp., a Killer whale, tooth from Caldera area of Chile. An incredible late Miocene Killer whale tooth from the Bahia Inglesa Fm. A MArch Fossil of the Momth. A rare Top Quality Carcharomodus escheri, a "serrated Mako" shark tooth - upper jaw anterior tooth from the "De Kuilen" sand pit, Mill, The Netherlands. A July Fossil of the Month. The Carcharomodus escheri  was named as a new genus in 2015 based upon a crenulated cutting edge ("wavy serrations"), slender & distally inclined crown, and side cusplets. This is a "Blue" layer tooth which are know for the highest preservation and best color - rarely seen outside of Europe. This tooth has excellent color and preservation. Sharp cutting edge.
